Makes sense. When the student is ready, the teacher appears sort of thing.

Most people I talk to about it get that glazed over look in their eyes, and I can tell they don't get it... yet.

Evangelizing is the right word for it though, because we are spreading the good news, but you're probably right about it being about as effective as religious evangelizing.
