Was making the current wallet balance look nice more important than fixing bugs?

Ehhmm.... No, but damn procrastination feels good sometimes.

Delete Chrome. Now.

Google is using its exceptionally powerful position to make *the browser itself* analyze your browsing behavior and serve that on a plate in the form of "cohorts" to anyone interested.

They are transforming Chrome into a "browsing-history-passport" - right now.

If you care about your intellectual freedom even a little bit, you must put Chrome out of your life as soon as possible. Support others doing the same.

Podcast Chapters 3.0 was released as a sort of Easter celebration- featuring support for generation of podcasting RSS tags - people, location, transcript, soundbite and more!

Remember Death Rally, one of the many Apogee shareware hits?

4-player network support over IPX/SPX made it a dark horse for LAN parties.

Just submitted Podcast Chapters 3.0 for review - it's Podcasting 2.0 certified 🥳! I've added a window to enter all episode-relevant information and generate tags for your feed: season, episode, person, soundbite, transcript, and location.

Next step: find out if it's actually useful and which of a million possible extensions make the most sense.

@bjoreman That’s the most “C” thing I’ve heard all week.

@dave Fun chapter story re:ep 27: One user got in touch because my app crashed when he tried to open his file. It was an audio book (with those nameless chapters) of the entire New Testament. 600 or so chapters IIRC. Had to improve my code somewhat, but now it works 😀

Looking at the role and group attributes for the person tag. Can they be mixed and matched freely? Seems to me in the docs that a certain role always belongs to a certain group, so I started wondering if I only really need users (of a UI to add person data) to pick a role.

Working on supporting and exporting all relevant (i.e. the ones which can appear on a single episode) Podcasting 2.0 RSS tags from Podcast Chapters. A fun exercise and a reason to learn some SwiftUI, but not sure if it’ll actually be useful to anyone 🤔?

Happy New year everyone. 2020 sure started an insane amount of things in the Podcast world. Let’s make 2021 ours!

The app is paid, but I’m more than happy to generate promo codes for anyone interested.

Question just as open as it sounds: What more could my chapter-wrangling Mac app do to support the ecosystem and people’s workflows?
