I’m starting to dig Rust. I like the default immutability. I thought it would drive me bonkers at first, but it’s really made me change some behaviours just within the sandbox tutorials I’m going through.
Its too crazy with me with closures but authors intents are good. Its generally good guideline as of how to and how not to write your sw etc.
@dave I've pretty much started doing everything as immutable as possible, it really does simplify design and you can still mutate things where you absolutely need to. Especially helps with concurrency bugs.
@agates I can totally see that. The shift from immutable as an option to immutable by default makes me safer without having to think about it.
@dave I'll get into Rust eventually (TM). I like Go but I have always wanted to be closer to the metal.
