RSS prevents lock-in. that's huge and people are slowly figuring that out. could we use #ActivityPub in place of RSS to make it more interactive?
Yes, probably. The two are similar in many ways - especially when you include realtime RSS (like WebSub)
I think it’s best for these two to coexist as long as possible - for instance, even Mastodon generates RSS feeds of users’ posts. More like this, please.
ActivityPub provides 5x the interactivity of RSS for 20x the complexity budget.

With RSS you can combine formats in the same feed, so you can get blogs, news pubs, and podcasts in the same feed. Podcast Addict can't do that.
