1/2- @evan @js @dave can you help? We are making great progress with TrueFans ActivityPub implementation. We have our server up and running at TrueFans.social

We have user accounts truefans.social/@sam and we can search for these accounts from any AP client and follow them. On that user page (for now) we are publishing the JSON activity based on the verbs the user chooses from their settings page.

2/2 @evan @dave Using @js browser.pub viewer we can see the activity is correctly being formatted in our outbox. But when we I look at my TrueFans.social account from Mastodon or Phanphy I cannot see any of the activity published? I have followed my Truefans.Social/@sam account with my Threads and PodcastIndex accounts but still see no notes published. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to declare TrueFans.social as an instance. Or is there another option I am missing in order to federate? Thanks

@samsethi @js @dave we have a format for this! See `outbox` in the ActivityPub spec.

@samsethi @evan @dave

Sure Sam, happy to help - go ahead and follow up on that email response I sent you guys on Friday to set up a time to review your architecture

@samsethi I _LOVE_ this! I've been wanting a public feed of my podcast listening habits for years and was hoping @npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5 might implement soon but you might have swung me over to Truefans. Can I download episodes for offline listening though as that's also a deal-breaker?

@si thanks. I have wanted this activity stream feed for two years. So we are nearly there. Some UI work on that activity page. And push to other federated accounts. Hopefully by next week all done. Then yes offline is on the roadmap. Will bump it up to next feature.

@samsethi very exciting! Great work pulling it together as I gather it's been a labour of love, especially following the ActivityPub specs.

On another note around features, is there a reason 2-letter usernames aren't permitted?

@si no reason but probably not had the use case will fix that and let you know tomorrow when done.
