@docpop @dave @adam @james Love the concept of using the Fediverse as a platform for discovery of many different types of content.

TrueFans is building an AP integration to help discover podcasts. But the irony at the end. Come to the walled garden of Apple to download Mammoth. And he can’t see the irony of that.

Stop using closed proprietary App Stores and stop using platforms like iOS - use the open web to build PWAs.Don’t advocate for open standards and then use closed platforms!

This is the way. Watching closely and will amplify this work to the Fediverse however I can!

This list of "things to avoid in the internet" should include #DTBO aka socmedia networks with Douchebag Techbro Billionaire Owners, such as #Xitter, #Threads and #BlueSky. Musk is Zuck, who is Dorsey, they are all the same psychopathic narcissistic douchebag, with different face, headgear of choice.

They are antithetical to the notion of #decentralized , people-controlled networks, where users are not algorithm fed, nor censored or force-fed adverts.

Doesn't matter if they are federated to some big instances of the fediverse, they are NOT #fediverse.

@faraiwe @docpop @dave @adam @james rumour is threads is about to start with adverts. That will kill it.

@samsethi @docpop @dave @adam @james

You say that, buuuuuut most people aren't particularly bright AND they tend to cling to formats/looks that are familiar.

#Threads survives because it adopts the instagram looks. #BlueSky is populated because people like the old twitter looks, and have the "huuuurrrrrr, mastodon huuurd to set up" (actually simpler than twitter).

People are still in instagram. Instagram is mostly ads.The dumdums will stay.
